Charles Bridge
Reconstructed in 1357 under the auspices of Charles IV, it is one of the oldest bridges on the continent. Over five hundred meters long and ten meters wide, its pillars are decorated with 30 magnificent statues of saints in Baroque style. It offers an compelling view of Prague immersed in a magical atmosphere, enlivened by the numerous street artists and souvenir vendors that crowd the bridge. At the end, on the Old Town side, is one of Europe’s most beautiful Gothic gates, balanced on the opposite side by the splendid Mostecká Tower.

Kampa island
The island near Charles Bridge, rich in narrow alleyways and delightful squares with typical Prague restaurants. Here you will find the Lennon Wall, dedicated to the former Beatle, one of the symbols of freedom during the oppressive communist regime. In the summer or spring, Kampa park is open to anyone seeking peace and relax, perhaps enjoying a pleasant picnic.

Vyšehrad
On one of the hills overlooking the Vltava river stands Vyšehrad, the site of the ancient Premyslid dynasty residence. Vratislav II chose to live here, building a fortified palace in the eleventh century, later transformed into a fortress by Charles IV and connected to the city of Prague with a wall. Today, after various incidents, fires and destructions, you can still visit the beautiful Neo-Gothic church of Sts. Peter and Paul and the Pantheon, the final resting place of many Czech celebrities, A stroll on the fortress' remains provides a breathtaking view of Prague.

The Royal Gardens
Ferdinand of Hapsburg had the royal gardens landscaped in clear Renaissance style in 1534. This is a place where you can stroll amongst the magnificent sculptures and superb fountains that have now assumed the typical features of an English garden. Every morning at 10 AM the gates open to the public which can visit the splendid Lions Court of Rudolph II and the Spheristerion, summer location for exhibits and concerts.

Jewish Quarter
The Jewish Quarter (Josefov), perfectly preserved and rare example in Europe, is housed in the Old Town. The synagogues, town hall and cemetery dating back to the mid fifteenth century are all intact. Buy a ticket to visit the quarter and view ancient manuscripts, visit the Holocaust memorial and other fascinating religious sites in this quarter.
