Barcelona Entertainment And Nightlife, Spain
Barcelona is one of Europe's coolest cities, it is in constant motion and knows how to offer visitors countless occasions for having fun, enjoying themselves and being thrilled - no matter whether during the day or at night. To keep up to date on exhibits, theaters, performances and entertainment, the most complete source is the weekly magazine La Guia de Ocio.
The old part of the city is very lively at night; explore the narrow streets of Barrio Gótico or stroll along Las Ramblas to the Old Harbor. Plaça Real contains many bars and clubs which are open all night. The area is very popular with tourists and consequently thieves looking for an opportunity, so a bit of caution is warranted.
La Ribera, also in the historical center, it has recently become a very trendy quarter due to its bohemian atmosphere: Passeig del Born is teeming with trendy bars and restaurants for passing a pleasant evening.
Eixample is another excellent place for night owls, although it is more popular with locals. One of the hottest spots is Calle Aribau. Barcelona's very active gay area is located near here.
Gracia: going up past Av. Diagonal, you run into the old working class quarter Gracia, which has become one of the liveliest areas of the city, popular with young people and bohemian types. You'll find one of the most exciting ambiances in Barcelona that won't disappoint you in its many small squares such as Pl. Sol and Pl. Rius Taullet
The ultra new Port Olimpic is another good spot for those who like the good life, with its post-modern style restaurants, bars and discos which hop until dawn.
Some of the main fun attractions in Barcelona:
