St. Bartholomew The Great, United Kingdom

This is one of the few Norman churches remaining in London. 

It was built in Norman Romanesque style in 1123. It was originally a convent but with the abolition of convents (1538) it was used as a stable and factory. Its charming interior contains an octagonal font, a 13th century sarcophagus and a beautiful Norman apse.

Open from Tuesday to Sunday.
