Temple Church, United Kingdom
One of the few circular churches remaining in England, Temple Church dates back to the 12th century.
It was built by the Knights Templar when they moved their headquarters to London in 1186. The Norman portal is of interest and just inside there are nine bas-reliefs of Knights Templar lying in a circle; the oldest dates back to 1227. The rectangular part of the church was added later by Henry III who wanted to be buried here.
