Prague is a city with an infectious and fun nightlife, including discos, pubs and elegant jazz clubs open all night to the sounds of expert musicians and brilliant performers. The best clubs are in Praha 1 and in the city’s secondary streets.

If you’re looking for a disco, head to Musik Park, one of the most popular spots – including a casino, pub, café and restaurant – while Radox F/X meets the taste of the younger crowds with techno and house music. Reduta is probably the most famous jazz club for live music along with Zelezna, open practically all night. For the eccentric gay population Prague offers numerous clubs such as Escape, including a restaurant and disco, just outside the city center (Praha 1).  

Agharta for jazz or the Rock Café are popular spots with a variety of crowds who like both rock and pop. The Roxy – usually open until dawn – hosts concerts, shows and evenings dedicated to art exhibits. Just one hundred meters from Charles Bridge is Karlovy Láznê  in a five storey building: the music changes on each floor! Fabulous!

Prague offers movie goers numerous multiplex cinemas. Films are usually in English with Czech subtitles and prices are a bit higher than the small downtown theaters but still economical. The movie industry has always had a soft spot for Prague.  In fact, a large number of movies have been shot here thanks to the captivating location, left practically intact during the Second World War.
