The Little Cyclades, Greece
A handful of small islands, 10 to be exact, between Amorgos and Naxos, the Little Cyclades are still an authentic paradise in the heart of the Aegean sea.
Hovercrafts and ferries on the Amorgos - Naxos line leave the ports of Aegiali and Katapola for the archipelago just 45 minutes away and ciaques make the trip in a day. Keros, Ano Koufonissi and Kato Koufonissi, Donoussa, Skinoussa and Iraklia are inhabited and provide tourists with a simple and authentic welcome. Loved by sailors, the Little Cyclades, swept by the wind, barren and dotted with fragrant Mediterranean greenery, offer landscapes of rare beauty. Everywhere the sea is turquoise, the beaches are white and the ports filled of fishermen, boarding houses and ouzo bars. If you decide to pay a visit, we suggest you take a book and cash with you since the Little Cyclades don't take credit cards or provide social life.
