Grado Eating And Drinking, Italy
Grado has an antique culinary tradition. Fish is the main ingredient in simple and tasty recipes like boreto a la graisàna and sepe sofegae, or stewed cuttlefish, or peverasse al baso, a delicious dish of clams.
Typical seasonal products of Grado include Fossalon asaparagus that can be found near the natural reserve of Val Cavanata.
The so-called blue fish, caught in the Northern Adriatic Sea off the Gulf of Trieste, its taste can not be compared to anything else especially when it is prepared according to the traditional recipe of Grado, accompanied with typical wines of the region. The typical cuisine of Grado can be had in the local historical eateries of the “castrum” such as Agli artisti, Al Canevon, Alla Borsa, Da Ovidio, De Toni and the Tavernetta all’Androna.
