Hotel Farnese, Rome city center Italy

A very nice hotel is a fairly good location. We could walk to most attractions in 30 minutes or less. The staff was very friendly and helpful (sepecially Alesandra) with good suggestions for restaurants and helpful in arranging a car to take us to the airport.

Our room was nice, with a very large bathroom; robes, safe, and minibar were appreciated. A very good breakfast in a sunny rooftop room (with a view of the Vatican) and cheerful attendants.

 There is not much to see in the few blocks around the hotel, but a main shopping street is five or six blocks away.

 If you take the subway (very close to the hotel), take note that pickpockets are very active during the busy times. But as long as you take normal precautions, the subway (while crowded) is a cheap and easy way to get to place like the Colosseum.
