The Tree of Wooden Clogs - Film director Ermanno Olmi shot his film "The Tree of Wooden Clogs" (awarded the Palme d'Or at the 1978 Cannes film festival) in the Bergamo dialect, part of the Gallo-Italic language family... The film was set in the Bergamo countryside providing the audience with a glimpse of Italian farm life.
