Our desk clerk was very polite and extremely helpful getting us oriented to the city. The location is very good, right at the metro stop in a part of town that I felt safe in, but is quite deserted at night like most shopping districts in big cities tend to be. The room was teeny tiny, which I understood better once I appreciated how extremely expensive real estate is in Milan. The elevator is a one-person lift, and the floor I was on had several small shifts in height (well-lit though), so I think this hotel would be unsuitable for disabled or wheelchair travelers. The room looked out onto an ugly airshaft so I just kept my curtains shut and at least it was quiet. Everything else about the room was fine; my dry cleaning came back as promised, and the breakfast was really terrific because it included eggs and other proteins which are hard to come by at breakfasts. Internet access is at a public terminal in the lobby for a fee per half hour. I was confused at checkout because I thought I had prepaid my room, but this was not the case. The clerk explained that the hotel just charged a dollar to my credit card when I made the reservation to ensure the card was valid as a deposit, and then I paid at checkout. The clerk explained that there was a different option on the website to pre-pay that is a lower rate, which I thought I had done. Overall, this is likely to be a fine choice for the budget-conscious traveler who doesn't care about glitz and glamour and won't spend much time in the room.
