Fano is located forty kilometers or so north of the Rimini's Federico Fellini international airport and the same distance south of Falconara's Raffaello Sanzio airport. The highway network (Adriatic State Route 16 and Highway A14) is one of the main networks in Italy, and the railway line covers the entire Adriatic.

It is best to get around by car to enjoy the area around Fano, an indescribably fascinating corner of Italy, among hills, villages, fortresses and traces of the Renaissance.
During the day you can reach everything. Fano is about fifty kilometers from the Renaissance jewel of Urbino, Raphael's city, which is half an hour away by car from the splendid Gradara Fortress, with its castle where the tragic love story between Paolo and Francesca took place, mentioned by Dante in the Divine Comedy. Fano is also near the Frasassi caves, the Fiabiliandia amusement park and Italia in Miniatura (Miniature Italy), the perfect destination for a family day trip.
