Turin Parks And Gardens, Italy
When thinking about Turin, green is not the first color that comes to your mind. Yet the city can offer a lot of green areas, that often surround highly enchanting historic buildings, castles and royal homes. Just think of the Villa della Regina gardens or the Royal Gardens, right behind Piazza Castello in the heart of the town and the magnificent Piazza Cavour.
The first public park in Italy was opened in Turin in the nineteenth century: the Valentino park is located along the Po river and provides citizens the chance to take relaxing walks or pleasant bike rides. In fact, it is crisscrossed by 40 km of bike routes! Ride to the Borgo Medioevale and let us know if it's worth it! And let's not forget that Turin is surrounded by gentle hills you can tour on foot or mountain bike. You only need ten minutes to leave the city behind you and get a breath of fresh air or spot a squirrel! Who would have thought?
