You don't need a car to get around in Val Gardena. We highly suggest you use the public transport system that connects all the valley cities where the various ski lifts frequently run up to the slopes.

The services are managed by the SAD company. You can buy your ticket on board. If you're staying for at least a week, the best deal is the Carta di Mobilità which - from June to October - takes you all over the Val Gardena for just 60 Euro without ever having to take your car.

Additionally, the reasonably priced Valgardena Card lets you travel throughout the valley using the Sellaronda Bus company.
