Creativity Festival 2010

The fifth edition of the Creativity Festival will be held from October 21- 24 2010 in Florence.

Unlike past editions, the festival will take place in the heart of Florence, in the streets and in the squares.

From this year the festival will focus on people, those who work, study, design, research and innovate keeping creativity as best practice.

Every idea has its place. The area around Palazzo Vecchio will be the Agora, the square of ideas.
Piazza Duomo and the surrounding area will be A Better Life section on best practices and virtuous lifestyles.
The area around Murate will be the Creative Workshop, ideas generating projects, prototypes and products with the aim to improve the quality of life.
There will also be a real campus for children and young people ideas.
The section 'Kids' which will be devoted to under 12 and their relationship with the city.

How to get there

By car
The Florence expo is only 4 km from the main national highway (A1: Autostrada del sole - Firenze Nord exit)

By train
Santa Maria Novella: 80/100 meters from the Palazzo dei Congressi and Palazzo degli Affari, 50 meters from Fortezza da Basso exiting the the track 16 entrance

By bus
All public buses stop at the train station. Due to its location (50 meters from the station) the Florence expo is just a short walk away using any bus in Florence. Furthermore, many buses run from Florence to the surrounding towns (Fiesole, bus Ataf n. 7 , Settignano, bus Ataf n.10).

By plane
The Florence A. Vespucci airport is 4 km from Florence which can be reached by taxi (about 20 minutes) or by the Vola in bus shuttle bus between the airport and the Santa Maria Novella train station, co-managed by ATAF and Sita.
