Hotel Globus, Florence city center Italy

I would recommend the Hotel Globus to anyone looking for clean, friendly accomodations for a fair price. I loved the modern look of the lobby and the rooms. The bathroom in our room was ENORMOUS and clean. It was very convenient that we were given a laptop for our use in our room during our stay, though we did have a few problems with the Internet connection. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful - and spoke perfect English! Upon arrival, the staff member at the desk provided an excellent restaurant recommendation. The included traditional European breakfast was perfect to start our day. The cappuccinos were delicious. The location of the hotel is ideal, close to the SMN train station and a quick walk to the city center. I had read previous reviews of a foul smell in the hotel, which I did notice a bit in the lobby but it was not overwhelming and our room did not smell at all. Overall, two thumbs up to the Hotel Globus!

Using a traditional key that had to be turned in to the desk when we left the hotel.
