Hotel Globus, Florence city center Italy

The Hotel Globus was perfect for me as a single traveler. I am a young American woman and I admit that I was a bit apprehensive about finding my way around and what the accommodations would be like. First, the train station was extremely close to the hotel, so I was able to walk to the hotel. The gentlemen at the front desk on both days were so kind and helpful - they gave me a map and showed me various places to dine and where to find a drugstore (which I desperately needed!!). The single room was very small, but perfect for just a single gal like me! While small, it was very cozy and I utilized the free WiFi and TV easily. (I've found that at many hotels, WiFi is NOT free and when it is, it can be spotty. At Hotel Globus, it was free and it worked like a dream.) The hotel was so centrally located (the Duomo is about a five minute walk away) and the looks and feels safe. And the price was just right! I couldn't sing its praises more!

What did you enjoy most about your stay?
I was traveling alone and spent one night at Hotel Globus. The staff was incredibly welcoming when I arrived and went above and beyond to make me feel at home and to help me find my way around Florence, i.e. restaurants, drugstores, etc.
