Hotel Globus, Florence city center Italy

This hotel is very basic in appearance. The entrance is not what you would think for a 3-star hotel; it requires climbing a sizable set of stairs to get in. But that is about the only drawback.

The value is terrific; great location near SMN station, sights and sites, and excellent restaurants. The staff was always very courteous and helpful, and the breakfast offered is more than adequate--fruits, pastries, cereals, yogurt, juices, coffees and teas, sliced cold meats and cheeses.

The room was comfortable and we appreciated the use of a computer as well. The bath is nice, modern, and a terrific hot shower, but very musty.

The hotel was such an excellent value, we would stay there again.

Staff were wonderful, breakfast was generous, location great, and the room was very quiet

What did not meet your expectations?
bathroom smelled very musty. I think the shower curtains need to be replaced.
