Monthly art and antique fair - Montepulciano
Every second Sunday of the month, year-round, Montepulciano hosts the antique fair in the heart of the city, the Piazza Grande. For enthusiasts or curious shoppers, it's an opportunity for find unique pieces and immerse yourself in an atmosphere rich in history. Montepulciano is surrounded by a wall and fortifications designed by Antonio da Sangallo the Elder in the 1500s under Cosimo I.
The town is mainly known for its imposing Renaissance palaces, the elegant beauty of its churches and its "Vino Nobile", one of the most appreciated Tuscan wines in the world. The urban center unfolds along a street that climbs a hill until it reaches the central square (about 1.5 km), Piazza Grande, which is at the top of the hill.
