Enrosadira, Italy
The spectacular red and pink color combination of the Dolomites at sunset...
Legend has it that King Laurino's beautiful and young Queen Similda was kidnapped by another king. Laurino never found her again and, in despair, turned his beautiful garden into rock roses saying "No human eye can ever admire you again, day or night". But he forgot of the time between day and night and, for this reason, the colors of his magnificent roses are projected against the rocks at sunset.
The spectacular Enrosadira comes from Ladin meaning "to become pink" and is the only one in the world. Only the special Dolomite rock composition can turn these mountains pink and dark red at summer sunsets.
