The Olympic bobsled track was designed for the 1956 Cortina Winter Olympics.
it is just a couple hundred meters from downtown Cortina, in Ronco, beyond the ice rink. You can get there on foot, on the bus (line 3, ronco-piazzale pista di bob stop) or by car (parking available next to the track). The track is 1,340 meters long with 12 curves and is artificially refrigerated. It is still used for international races and competitions and will host the bobsled world cup in 2011.
The taxi-bob (4-person racing bobsled) lets you experience the thrill of sledding at 120 km/h in total safety thanks to the expert drivers.
