Hotel Arlecchino, Venice city center Italy

This hotel is very old as are most of them in Venice. However, it was well kept and very clean. The staff were very accomodating in storing our luggage till the room was ready as we arrived on an early flight. If you have to get your luggage from the square to the hotel it is very difficult. You need to find a porter which will cost you around 15 euro. We spent the night here before boarding a cruise ship. It was very convenient to Plaza De Roma except for the baggage issue. I wanted to buy a cocktail at the bar in the restaurant and take it to the room. The desk clerk wanted to charge me the 9 euro service fee to have it delivered to the room. I did not like that. The bellman helped me out and gave me the drinks. Everything in Venice is very expensive and everyone wants to charge you for every little move. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk to the nearest water shuttle stop. Convienient to get around to the hot spots. In all we enjoyed our very short stay. The breakfast was very good.
