Hotel Palazzo Abadessa, Venice city center Italy

We spent four nights at the Hotel Palazzo Abadessa. We arrived by train and took the #1 boat to the Casa d' Oro stop. Having been to Venice before, I thought the Hotel might be difficult to locate, but it was very easy and not far from the boat landing. It was not difficult even with our two heavy suitcases. We found the staff, and especially Darwan, to be extremely pleasant and helpful. The hotel has a wonderful garden where we had breakfast each morning. The included breakfast spread was very nice and was a great start to the day. Our room though small was quite pleasant and overlooked a small canal. The bed was comfortable and the room and bath were clean. We did not bring a laptop, but there is one in the lobby that we were free to use to check our email and Darwan helped with printing of our boarding passes for the trip home. He also booked a private motorboat for our journey to the airport. The hotel is located near an area that contains many shops and restaurants and is easy to navigate. I would highly recommend this hotel for your vacation in Venice. You won't be disappointed.
