Ruzzini Palace Hotel, Venice city center Italy

The Ruzzini Palace hotel in Venice is a beautiful place to stay. Well located, nice architecture and very comfortable. But most importantly they really care about their guests, which is a very rare nowadays.

When we booked we asked to have a room with a standing shower, which the hotel kindly provided. Unfortunately, that meant being on the ground floor with window looking through a plaza so not ideal for privacy on a romantic weekend.

When we asked for another room the staff was more than understanding, couldn’t accommodate us to another room since the hotel was full, so they find us a superior room (free upgrade) in their sister hotel (Duodo palace) with a free taxi boat transfer.

On top of that the manager sent us a bottle of bubbly to apologise…when all they did wrong was to give us what we asked for!  This hotel clearly cares about their customer, and we’ll definitely stay there again in our next visit to Venice.
