Residence Corte Grimani, Venice city center Italy

The rooms were elegantly decorated, very spacious and extremely clean. We had plenty of room for storing clothes, and luggage.

The beds were comfortable and firm and the king was a true king sized bed. Our Superior room had a great view of the canal - we could watch the gondolas go by. The kids' room was a Classic without the view.

Their room was quiet and except for they could hear the family in the room next to them.

Like most hotel, the walls are not soundproof but it wasn't bad. We didn't use the kitchen for cooking, but mainly for making a cup of tea of having a snack.

The hotel provides tea bags and hot chocolate plus cups and utensils.

A very nice touch was the large bottled water in the fridge and cookies in the room to welcome us.

The showers are great. Some toiletries are provided. Air conditioning was good. It was very hot and humid outside and the room was cool (78 degrees) and comfortable.

We were on the first floor - one level above the lobby. The staff was very nice and helpful.

We would recommend the Grimani to our friends.

Washer/Dryer was hard to operate and the manual was not clear.
