The Locanda Orseolo is set in a private little piazza within easy reach of St Mark's Square. Arrival and departure is best undertaken by licensed water taxi, arranged with the help of the excellent team at the locanda. You will be dropped off or picked up on the Orseolo canal at the entrance port just by the reception desk. We were one of three couples staying to attend a family wedding. All our rooms were unique, themed on traditional Carnival characters. En-suite with comfortable beds and welcoming air conditioning, our room was just right for restful nights. Breakfast was delicious from the choice of ingredients to create your own cereal dish, to the choice of various fresh bakery items and the excellent coffee. The breakfast menu highlight was the variety of egg dishes and crepes that were offered freshly cooked to your order. As I have said, it is the ambience created by the team of Alex, Gigi, Barbara and Igor and their support staff that makes a stay at the Locanda Orseolo so enjoyable.
