Hyeres How To Get Here And How To Get Around, France

Hyères Les Palmiers is in the department of Var, between the Massif des Maures, the Mediterranean Sea and the peninsula of Giens, in the most southwest point of the French Riviera. The town is 15 km from Toulon, 50 km from St. -Tropez and 84 km from Marseille.

Arriving by plane at the Toulon-Hyeres airport (TLN), a few km south of the city, you can get to the center in 10 minutes by shuttle bus or taxi. This port of call provides a direct connection to many European cities, with low-cost companies as well.

By car, coming from Italy on the A10, "Highway of the Flowers", continue to France on the A8 towards Marseille, and then take the A57 towards Toulon, followed by the A570 until you reach Hyères. Coming from Paris, take highway A7, then A8 towards Aix-en-Provence–Toulon, and A570 towards Hyères les Palmiers.

By train , there are daily connections with Paris on the TGV lines, in addition to the regional SNCF trains on the Hyères-Toulon-Marseille route. The train station is a few minutes from the city center.

The most beautiftul way to arrive is by sea: Hyères is, with its ports, one of the most important tourist landings of the Côte d'Azur, and a departure point for spectacular cruises along the coast. Port Saint-Pierre is the main port, where you will find fleets of sailboats and yachts docking. Port de la Capte and  Port l'Ayguade are for small recreational boats and in the ports of Madrague and Niel you will mainly see the characteristic "pointu" boats used by fishermen, and finally, Port de la Tour Fondue, is where you'll find ferries to the main islands of Hyères.
