Archeological Museum

The Casa de Castril is a beautiful Renaissance palace that houses the Museum of Archeology of Granada. It is composed of seven large sections, with room exhibiting from prehistoric remains to Greek and Roman tools, coin collections and Islamic astrolabes from the 14th Century.

Garcia Lorca Museum

The Huerta de San Vicente was the summer residence of the greatest Spanish poet. Donated in 1924 by the artist and his family, the house was converted into a museum that shows intact the personal objects of the poet, such as his writing desk, the pianoforte and some sketches. Surrounded by a park dedicated to Lorca and facing the Sierra Nevada, the Huerta de San Vicente saw the composition of one of Lorca’s masterpieces, the famous Bodas de Sangre.

José Guerrero Center of Contemporary Art 

The zone of the Alcaicería houses a center dedicated to 20th-Century art and the collection of one of the greatest painters of Granada. An innovative author, influenced by masters such as Matisse and Picasso and more in general by pop art, his is today recognized as one of the most important Spanish artists from the new generations.

Residence-Museum of Manuel de Falla

Inside it faithfully recreates the environment of the historical period in which Manuel de Falla lived; the house has many objects from the first decades of the 1900s and original manuscripts by the maestro, probably the most important Spanish musician.

Casa de ‘Los Tiros’

Inside the palace of the Gil Vázquez Rengifo family there are splendid paintings from the 17th-19th Centuries as well as Oriental artifacts, furniture from the 1800s and Baroque sculptures. The name of the residence comes from musket shots fired from the top of the facade. Not to be missed!

Museum of the Alhambra

The Palace of Charles V now holds the works recovered from inside the Muslim city and the Generalife’s residence. Architectural elements, ceramics, paintings, works in bronze and a precious treasure from the Nazari period going back to the 14th Century: the Jarrón de las Gacelas (Vase of the Gazelles).

Museum of Fine Arts

It is located on the upper level of the Palace of Charles V, in the heart of the Alhambra. It offers the opportunity to see the evolution of Granadine art are through artists like Bocanegra and Pedro de Mena; the exhibition includes the triptych of the ‘Gran Capitán’ and five tables from the 1500s belonging to the 'Ermita de los Mártires’.
