Museo de Bellas Artes - Fine Art Museum

It boasts masterpieces by Murillo, Velasquez and Zurbarán and is one of the largest galleries in Spain. it is located in the Convento de la Merced, in 14 spacious rooms on two floors with a beautiful staircase. Not to be missed medieval and Renaissance paintings areas, the impressive work of Francisco Goya and paintings by the Sevillian School.

Tuesday: 3:00 to 8:00 pm
Wednesday to Saturday: 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. Sunday: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Museum of Contemporary Art

The Andalusian Center for Contemporary Art awaits you in the Cartuja Monastery. Here you will find some great examples of artistic tends that have enlivened the country's cultural life since the early 1900s. Sculptures, ceramics, paintings and a lot of material by Mirò.

Archaeological Museum

On the south end of the city, in Plaza de America, don't miss this extraordinary collection of prehistoric, Phoenician and Roman artifacts. The statues of Trajan and Diana the Huntress can be seen alongside many others, such as the head of Alexander the Great and the Venus Italica. The presence of Italica, the most important center of Roman Spain explains the reason for so much wealth.

Plaza de Toros and the Museo Taurino (Bullfighting Museum)

It is the largest arena in Spain and can hold more than 13,000 spectators. It includes a small museum dedicated to the art of the corrida, or bullfighting. Plaza de Toros de la Real Maestranza de Caballería de Sevilla, this being its full name, hosts the most famous bullfighting festival in the world during the Feria de Abril, obviously held in April!
