St. Tropez Beaches, France

If you take the Route des Plages D93 you can get to the most attractive seaside establishments on the peninsula of St.-Tropez. We can't call them mere beaches, if we are talking about the most renowned private beach clubs around St.-Tropez, that celebrate a glamorous lifestyle, unbridled luxury, bodies being flaunted, attendance by VIPs, and late hours. Fortunately, in other establishments, you can find peace and quiet, and the space for a day with the family, with all the services you need to relax, have lunch or partake in your favorite water sport.

La Ponche and La Fontanette are the public beaches in the old neighborhood, La Ponche. In this charming place, located between the Tour du Portalet and the Tour Vieille, a scene from "Et Dieu créa the femme", with Brigitte Bardot and Jean-Louis Trintignant, was directed. La Fontanette is also used by the children of La Ponche summer camp.

The Plage de la Bouillabaisse is about a fifteen-minute walk from the port of St.-Tropez. Spacious, with clear, calm waters, a nice restaurant on the sea, and free showers and toilets, it is perfect for families.

Going along the Rue des Salins, you will arrive at the Plage des Canoubiers, particularly appreciated by locals and those who prefer to spend a day with the family in a quiet, unblemished place. Otherwise you can visit the Plage Les Graniers: located under the Citadel, very short (about 40 m), with a sandy sea floor and clear water, it is one of the most popular public beaches. At the end of Rue des Salins you will find the Plage des Salins: an intimate niche about a hundred meters long, in an area rich in vegetation and protected from the Mistral wind, this beach exudes an irresistible charm. Here you can sunbathe on a white sand beach, swim in the clear turquoise water or enjoy Mediterranean cuisine in a restaurant on the sea, in a unique natural setting. It is located between the Cap des Salins and the Pointe du Capon.

The Plage de Pampelonne is in the town of Ramatuelle, 5 km south of St.-Tropez on the bay of Pampelonne. On five kilometers of white sand coast you'll find the most prestigious private clubs, including the Plage de Tahiti, le Voile Rouge, Coco Beach, Tiki Club, Crystal Beach Club, Moorea Plage and Le Club 55, La Bonne Terrasse... These private clubs offer the utmost in terms of charming atmospheres, exclusive services, entertainment, DJs, and refined catering, keeping the beach alive from morning to the end of the night. What better place to organize parties and wedding receptions?

The beaches of Pampelonne also include the relaxing nudist sections, such as Liberty, Neptune and L’Escalet, and gay friendly beaches including Coco Beach, Nikki Beach and Plage de l’Acqua.

We cannot forget to mention the young club La Croix Valmer, on the southern part of the St.-Tropez peninsula. In this refined and luxurious seaside club, with elegance that recalls the Côte d'Azur of the '50s, you will be captivated by its heavenly beaches. The Plage du Débarquement, well-equipped and rich in tourist activity and entertainment, also provides a connection to the Islands of Hyères. The Plage de Sylvabelle is small, discreet, protected from the wind, and far from crowds. The wild Plage d’Héraclee is in an ideal location for enjoying wonderful sunrises and sunsets. The Place De Gigaro, complete with lifeguards, a beach restaurant and water activities, handicap accessible, is also perfect for families. In the celestial Place du Brouis and the Plage de la Briand, it's just you and the gorgeous nature reserve that surrounds you...life is good here!
