MODENA EXPO CENTER
The yearly line-up at the Modena Expo Center includes at least three large-scale events:

  •  Modenantiquaria (February): a great chance to admire items from the best international antique galleries.
  •  Artigiana Italiana (February/March): the quality Made in Italy crafts expo ranging from tailoring to ceramics. Italian style on display.
  •  7.8.Novecento (November): antiques on display and experts able to assess any item.

MODENA TERRA DI MOTORI (March/May)
Modena's bond with engines is indissoluble. Between March and May, a series of events dedicated to love for automobiles: rallies, races, guided tours, photographic exhibits, antique car parades, memorabilia.

SETTIMANA ESTENSE (June)
Seven days of events and historic reenactments of Modena's Estense period, the golden era at the end of the sixteenth century.

FESTIVAL INTERNAZIONALE DELLE BANDE MILITARI (July)
International military and royal marching band event. The city's squares become the stage for talented musicians in historic uniforms, tunics and spectacular armor for a week of marching band music.

FESTIVAL DELLA FILOSOFIA (September)
Unusual festival that involves the cities of Modena, Sassuolo and Carpi in an intense weekend where readings, debates, workshops for young and old, shows and games nourish the mind according to the old saying mens sana in corpore sano.

SAGRE DEL MAIALE, DEL TORTELLINO E DEL LAMBRUSCO
No country fair in Italy fails to pay tribute to its leading product. Modena is no exception.
A bronze statue is even dedicated to the pig in the town of Castelnuovo-Rangone, proof of the significance pork processing has for the local economy. Often midway between sacred and profane, the event with country fairs in Modena is a unique way to experience the part of Italy's current authentic traditions.
